Benjamin
Ah the rain! There always seems more of it in the old measure.

Tinker
Hi Gatekeeper, This tanka is a kind of imagery journal entry, recording timely weather and its effect. I like it. We too had a good soaking rain recently right smack dab in the middle of a heat wave. Very odd but the garden was greatful. (I have to get stingy with watering the garden in the summer because I don't want to have to truck water to our well as many of my neighbors have had to do during the dry months. Weird we get 80 inches of rain in a year, mostly during Winter and Spring but summer our wells go dry.) ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
