Not Again!

Not Again

spent brass
shells
are scattered
into corners
of the main hall
at a high school
in Florida

pools
of blood smeared
by rushing feet
blight
a classroom floor

next to a discarded
black
backpack,
the round, slate barrel
of an automatic
         rifle
still warm

In the light of yesterday's shooting at Charles University in Prague not heard of here before, which claimed 14 victims, this poem reflects the actual theme of the death of innocent young lives at schools that becomes almost commonplace. It presents a terrifying picture of reality.
