Feed the Hungry


They wait patiently in line
to later dine, so they stand.
Tuesday morning in my town
means brown paper bags with canned
foods and local farmer's fare,
caring turns a helping hand.

Yes, this is a nicely worded morning poem. I can picture the scene where even in a small town there can be otherwise unseen need. And you know how I feel about short poems, Judi. I like 'em!

Thanks Barry, the verse form is a bit restrictive in that it allows only 7 syllables per line and requires cross rhyme as well as a linking rhyme all of which create a compact poem.
