Though this is old... I felt like sharing it again. Dunno if I have shared it with you guys before...anyway:

-ZATIONS

There is a wild scream in the air.

Is my neighbor beating his wife again?

Or does a seduced animal cry on the birth of another?

The moon has created a boundary around it.

The city hears the cry and is silent

or was it silenced?

The wife has got used to the beatings

and like a jackass works night and day

for God knows what!

Summayya I am not sure have I read this before. But I like it a lot.

The end part is wonderful and very good written resumé.

I loved this expression:

The moon has created a boundary around it.

The city hears the cry and is silent

Thank you for sharing this Summayya. Waiting for more.

I remember this one, Summayya. icon_smile.gif I like the narrator's hands-off observations. I also like how the second stanza comes back and answers the question posed in the first one.

Bloodyday

There is another star fall from sky

People watch it with a thousand lie

Why my sky is crying fire on earth

I can't stare,‘cause my eyes full of dirt!

Powerful satire dude! This poem is for you, any way! perhaps this world is no longer sweet anymore!

Carry on!

Hello summayya,

I missed this the first time round so thank you for posting it again.

I wondered if the central motif is the 'wife" of the neighbor whose drudgery, abuse and anguish are drowned out - the city, the moon representing indifference. These images enhance her silent suffering:

Your poem certainly makes a disquieting impact.
