    Skald

Because it is Poetry Month, I'm posting here an old poem in honor of an ancient poet who is said to the be the author of the Edda Measures, ancient Nordic books of poetry and "how to write poety" He has the best name ever..... Skald The ancient pages postulate a skald who wrote his words with magic. Of legends, gods and gold, he told with tongue and tambour ringing. His valiant verse, a varied tome, the married meter uttered. Of Snorri Snurluson, they sing, author. . . of the Edda Measures. ~ ~ ~ Judi Van Gorder Song Measure
