A code?

No!---

That distinctive chord

John Lennon struck.

“A hard days night”

identified by Millions.

My mind

'brainstorms' tangents...

Social,

literary,

psychological---

theological.

Latin rites

that imply knowledge and power.

Aboriginal chants

and--- “The pointing of the bone.”

Effective...

If the 'listener' believes

G11sus4... (Heralded Lennon and McCartney--- Jo Nesbo says--- “singing in unison with an energy they were never to regain on subsequent records.”)

Now resurrected--- in a cell-phone ringtone

This musical reference in your poem I googled is elucidated for me here:

www.beatlesbible.com/features/hard-days-night-chord/

It is amazing the musical details submitted on the subject by musos on that site.

Your tangential threading of the tonic scale or whatever chimes well IMVHO,

(you can tell I'm a dummy in this area) Benj, into the weave of

other cultural aspects of human record viz. quote "Social,

literary,

psychological---

theological.

Latin rites

that imply knowledge and power.

Aboriginal chants

and--- “The pointing of the bone.”

My thanks for your input Frank. As it says on your web page the original studio recording was a compound effort: Yet, "the most commonly used version for a solo guitar is a G7sus4: a chord barred at the 3rd fret."

But there is more to this poem than the clang of a guitar chord that reached millions: I'll leave that up to the reader. Had I chosen to be verbose with my mind's “brainstorm” of tangent issues (which is pivotal); I may have been tempted to write an essay on communication : organized religion since Darwin, Albert Schweitzer, enlightenment over ignorance, thought control; or even the creation of God as a reflection of the imagination of Man. But being a simple man, I'll settle for those last three lines.

Effective...

If the 'listener' believes

and understands.
