young, eager to learn

the small girl mounts the tall horse

smile brightens her face

smile brightens her face

after many years waiting

broken teeth replaced

didn't mean to encourage

Wierd I had to toggle this post after clicking quote in order for my response to not be included in the quote box. I think we may have to play with this feature a little.

Okay, I fixed Gatekeeper's post and then used the multi-quote feature to quote each of you. To fix Gatekeeper's post I had to use the editor toggle control to toggle to the simple/plain/code editor and then backspace to delete the second haiku. But before I did that, I selected and copied the second haiku in the Rich Text editor so I wouldn't lose it, because I noticed I was having trouble selecting and copying quoted text when using the simple editor. If you quote someone using the Rich Text Editor, you should place your cursor outside the blue quote box when typing your reply.

Shark bait when at sea

the night sky sparkles

orion draws his arrow

winters pack howls

Pinhead

"Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends.

There is a secret song at the center of the world, Joey, and its sound is like razors through flesh."

Joey

"I don't believe you."

Pinhead

"Oh come, you can hear its faint echo right now. I'm here to turn up the volume.

To press the stinking face of humanity into the dark blood of its own secret heart."

"There's a starving beast inside my chest
playing with me until he's bored
Then, slowly burying his tusks in my flesh
crawling his way out he rips open old wounds

When I reach for the knife placed on the bedside table
its blade reflects my determined face
to plant it in my chest
and carve a hole so deep it snaps my veins

Hollow me out, I want to feel empty"

hell's come from the distant hills

tortures dreams of the doomed

released by white wind

braking on the curves

Drown your sorrows in drink, by all means, but the real sorrows can swim

Braking on the curves

is better than "breaking bad,"

a staggering lapse.

These haiku are frustrating! :@ Edited this about sixteen times, and it's still not right!

I thought I would enter the soiree since it has been a long while since I did this shindig Haiku Tag on PMO...Hey I missed you guys....

A staggering lapse

is a monumental truth

if you drink too much.
