rumisong
old photographwe fell to the floor laughingwhen I opened the book (a note here- maybe this has been mentioned? I havent checked back into this thread... we should perhaps allow for a word from the last line to be dropped at the option of the next writer- like this one of mine for instance, would be much better for the next writer if the last line were just "I opened the book"- but that would not have made the best choice for my poem, in my opinion- its such a minor difference here, what do folks think about a word at the beginning or ending of the last line becoming optional?) A very good point rumisong. So far we've just used the last line of the previous haiku as the first line of the next haiku, without much alteration. Although, some of us may have juggled a bit occasionally . For what it's worth, perhaps one can make a discretionary rejigging to fit the next haiku or/and take the challenge of writing a last line that the next member can use without any changes? when I opened the book faded rose petals fell out- our last summer goldenlangur Quote goldenlangur Even a single enemy is too many and a thousand friends too few - Bhutanese saying.
