Redondilla Stanza is one of the most popular Castillian stanzas since the 16th century. Apparently experimentation with the form by Ezra Pound brought about a resurgence in popularity in the 20th century.

The Redondilla is:
  1. syllabic, usually written in 8 syllable lines.
  2. stanzaic, written in any number of quatrains.
  3. rhymed, most common rhyme scheme abba.
  4. called the Serventesio when rhyme abab is used.
