dcmarti1
With no one to impress, the bottlesof moscato and sangria are allthat can be stomached or afforded. With no one to impress, the ginis little better than the vodka, both just one shelf above bathtub swill. With no one to impress, burgundy curtainshide as much from the out as from the in,the one-cup coffee maker shielded. With no one to impress, the booksare templed as if they were hieroglyphs, showing glory in their sight and sound.(Hinnaline is Estonian for “precious”.) dr_con
Very, very nice! ;-) A nice reflection on the lone artist as whole. Enjoyed! Juris Quote thegateless.org
dcmarti1
As always, juris, thanks. I did think it was best to omit the hookah (haha -- kidding).
tonyv
Yes, a very nice reflection, Marti. Like staying in for a couple of weekends (perhaps not by choice). Benjamin
This says to me that living alone requires a self-discipline that few people are comfortable with; but the compensations are aptly "precious" and you can indulge the old mantra that, "you can't please everyone... so please your self!" Frank E Gibbard
Satisfying chez moi scenario, at home all round and comfortable in its your skin I presume. Really nice as said Marti. Egypt reference appreciated. Frank
dcmarti1
Egypt reference appreciated. Frank I always liked Egyptian art, but THIS book brought Egypt into a whole new light: Moses the Egyptian by Jan Assmann. He is a German professor of Egyptology. Fascinating read! Oh, thank you, and glad you enjoyed. Rest assured I get no kick-backs from plugging that book, haha.

G. Not sure if it's discipline or, and I do not mean to sound depressing, resignation. I have seen many friends and family STAY in gloomy relationships that, perhaps, should have ended long ago.
