The Coast, Part III: Sunday Afternoon

... This is the rhythm of the night, and round
and round we go, no reason to repent ...

"Yea bruh, she know just how to climb dat pole!"
"And for a C-note she gon ride ma pole!"
"Not every ho you human traffic, bruh!"

... This is the rhythm, the rhythm of the night ...

Her bright eyes light this diamond mine; she moves,
exquisitely, first up, around, then down.

Now this one is really good.  Love the rhythm, love the refrain, it also has some humor.    I like this the best of the 3.  Someone once said, if she ends up on a pole, you've failed as a parent.  Actually, pole dancing is a very acrobatic, difficult exercise and has become a popular work out medium.   But this poem doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is.   I like it.

Thank you, Judi. I'm glad you like it. I figured it would serve to wind down the weekend. As always, looking forward to the next one.
