The Broken Heart

Recommended Posts

the heart breaks

and each time it shatters

it grows

opens up

and blooms

above all else

the heart must break

in order to release

and contain more than ever imagined

remember to never love another

more than oneself

inner love is boundless

it will keep leading you to love

forever...

To receive love, you have to give it...

It appears that you are safely in London. I trust all is well with you there.

I loved this gentle work. The first verse especially spoke to my heart. Not everyone understands that the pain of a broken heart can result in more beautiful love and an increased capacity to give and recieve love. You are right, We must love ourselves before we can truely love another.

Thanks for sharing this lovely thought in such a lovely way.

I'm glad you're safe and well in London, Douglas. I love the lyrics.

the heart breaks

and each time it shatters

it grows

opens up

and blooms

above all else

the heart must break

in order to release

and contain more than ever imagined

If only it were true ...

Dear Doug, I am happy to hear that you are all ok at the new life station, I hope you have a new umbrella icon_biggrin.png.

this broken heart, sounds nice, and full of hope. But there are always pains when something is broken icon_rolleyes.gif. But your poem gives a hope.

It reminds me of the words and story of one priest, while he was explaining about the other life in the heaven over one old story, really made me to wish to die icon_smile.gif in that moment, like your poem does, to wish the heart broke icon_smile.gif.

I love your poem.

enjoy London my dear Doug.
