Winter Has Come Early

I would never know,

what brought me down

and struck me hard

on a warm

Summer‘s afternoon.

A cold darkness has filled

the world of my life.

A void has entered my heart

by the sea side where I used to roam

and my thoughts use to soar

like the clouds that fill the horizon sky.

A moment frozen in time

so I could catch my breath.

My heart would beat

waiting for the begotten SON.

Who will revisit us soon as a beacon

to guide this world called Gaia to paradise.

Destiny leads us all.

Holy Spirit take my hand

and guide me thru the turmoil

of this deceived, deaf, and blind world.

Yet, I believe

the LIGHT Jesus Christ

of the world will come back.

Though I dreamed of your return

many seasons ago

I would have to wait for you

to heal me on some future date.

We sailed on the ocean together

and we walked on the water together.

Then I drifted away

when the stormy weather came

and the lofty winds separated us.

I would journey many dark nights

and lightless filled days

without you by my side.

Every moment we tried to understand

my soul-mate and I.

Our hearts and minds

touch the flames of hell’s fire.

That would torment our souls

without the redeemer

to save us from the heavy rains

that filled the seas of the world.

Was it just me crying in my bed.

It is like I hardly had to steer.

It seems as if it all was designed.

It is love that keeps us going.

It is the weather that changes.

Though the seasons

appear to be different.

It is my pain,

that emerges

an feels the same.

It is all part of the plan.

A man would be born

into this world

without a mark unblemished.

He would die without a sin

and he would rise a King.

Oh why did we Lord and Savior

exist when this world was young.

I would wonder how it all began.

Though the days would be long and cold

you would be crucified

for me and my companion

on a chilly spring day.

Where the sun shined

very little light that day.

Hope for me burns eternal.

My faith still remains

even though it was tested

in a raging fire.

We walked this path together Elizabeth.

I was a hooded man

who preached of your second coming

Lord Jesus.

Destiny take me by the hand.

Though many doubt,

all they have to do

is read the passages in the scripture

of the holy bible that said

he wore thorns on his head for our pride

and he was pierced for our egos.

As his water and blood

poured out of his side.

On a bitter gloomy day

you would return to this world

and fill all mysteries with light

Like it was in the beginning.

You would unite me with my lover.

It was all pieces of the puzzle.

Just remember God

has a arrangement for us all.

We traveled this journey together

Ever since this world began

Even though you where far from us

You in truth were always next to us in spirit..

We really never know

and still we try to understand

and comprehend.

A man would die on a cross and rise

through the torment of the rising flames

to save you and me.

We would never doubt.

Though some would not believe.

Elizabeth, you and I

we would have faith in each other.

The Lord who was resurrected for us all.

So our hearts could unite in a future world.

Do we wait for this world to be refined

or are we swept away

so we can love again

and see the sun set

after a long two-thousand years.

In some ways different from your usual work, Victor. This one's highly lyrical. I especially like the beginning:

I would never know,

what brought me down

and struck me hard

on a warm

Summer‘s afternoon.

A cold darkness has filled

the world of my life.

A void has entered my heart

by the sea side where I used to roam

and my thoughts use to soar

like the clouds that fill the horizon sky.

Great title, too.

Larsen,

Epic indeed, an inspired love poem- filled with faith. Reminds a bit of some of the Sufi poetry which implores and invokes the beloved God.

A good read.

Hi victor,

Through despair to hope for a new beginning, the poet's life is suffused with an unshakable faith i the Saviour's return.

This is very moving:

Though the seasons

appear to be different.

It is my pain,

that emerges

an feels the same.

Thank you. It's good to read your work after a long while.
