Galactic Core

What can a poet say on matters of cosmology

across the surface of emptiness

tick words a useful form for faith

and rebellion

the directionality suggested

by water collecting

on the surface

of cold glass

something out of not-nothing

rather a cluster of circumstance

signifying the soft-hard C

of an intergalactic telegraph

quantum events connected

at-a-distance the hole in the center

bends light

breaks gravity

making our best translations

of God's secret language

meaningless Newton

never stole the essence

of falling fruit from The Garden's tree

the tap of dot

the letter T

circling elliptical descriptions

the Laws unwritten

declaring the Truth

constant and certain

Dr.Con. I don't have words what to say. I am impressed and happy that I read poem like yours rich with expressions, phrases, sense, wisdom.

Thank you so much for giving such a treasure.

Is this a new Dr Con? The last two works so different from what I am used to, yet so astounding. You seem to compare the universe and poetry as immense and undefinable; governed by laws know only to their creator.

"Something out of not-nothing"- indeed!

"circling elliptical descriptions

the Laws unwritten

declaring the Truth

constant and certain"

I just want to read that over and over until it seeps into my memory.

I like how you build the poem around the "intergalactic telegraph," but I think I like something out of not-nothing and how the hole in the center/bends light/breaks gravity the most. The title captures the attention.

The distilling of the essence of thought wonderfully evoked, particularly in these lines:

...water collecting

on the surface

of cold glass

Hi DC, This poem is so full of rich images.... Each reader has selected somthing different that moved them and I am no different.

making our best translations

of God's secret language

meaningless Newton

never stole the essence

of falling fruit from The Garden's tree

This stanza fascinates me and explodes with a multitude of thoughts in my mind.
