Poetry Magnum Opus

Very nice! I hope you wrote the letter with a fountain pen! (The chicks dig that; it's more meaningful that way). ;) My own unsent letters are sitting in the drafts folder of various email clients.

Nice one rumi, a picture within a picture, that implies a narrative beyond the moment.

Good shot here, rumi. I like how simple this piece is. But not meaningless. It says much, in many ways.

I like it.

economic and effective! the poem can be interpreted in many ways - a plethora of possibilities and stories and settings are possible! i loved reading and re-reading it. less is certainly more here! well done!

thank you all--

I realized after I wrote it, where the inspiration came from

well, of course it was because Tink was teaching us about the"wheelbarrow" form, which I really liked as an "americanized" haiku form--

but what I mean to say is, I think in the back of my mind, I had the opening credits of THIS tv show in mind--

has anyone here seen it?

Yes, I have seen the series, and your interpretation, in summary, of it is elegan. Even much more so that the poem works both with and in spite of the disjointed stanza breaks. I am keeping an enlarged copy on my wall.
