still serious

i stand tall and look to heaven.

i ask god how much longer will i suffer.

i cry and say no more

i am tired of illness.

i love you baby as the tears roll down my eyes

how many times i wanted to hold you in my arms

and tell you how much i still adore you,

as the time goes by and the years roll on by

my love for you is still strong as it grows stronger every day.

Hey Victor,

I hope you had a pleasant birthday! The title of this poem immediately caught my attention; upon reading, I was struck by the duality of it: yes, the illness is still serious, but so is your love and yearning for the other person. I enjoyed reading this fine write.

The poem seems raw but so does the emotion - it works IMHO.

Sadness and desperation overwhelmed by love and the hope it inspires.

Cheers

Hi victor,

Your poem has a sense of distilling life - your illness and near- misses of fatality have crystallized the most important issues and here you show how the love you feel for this woman endures through the fog of suffering.

Beautiful and moving. It's great to read your work again.

It's curious how love can keep growing stronger

within a person

when only a memory is needed......

when a person is no longer there....even after years.....

I believe this is true too, Larsen.

My friend Victor. This poem it streaks with sadness and feelings.

I loved this poem. You expressed so nice your emotions. That love deep as ocean hurts always, not just we are ill Vic.

This poem I love because the words and expressions comes on natural way, and they are so clear. As you said that is just writing down your emotions, but this one works so well. You provoke in this poem emotions of the readers too. So that is real poetry for me.

As I told you Vic, my prayers for you, always.
