dedalus
As you sashay down the slender slopes, shyly, tentatively smiling, a knockout girl, I remember those hundreds of reasons I am so fond of you. Just look at you! God, sweet Jesus, Christ Almighty! Got over the rape then, did you? That fucker died badly and slowly and I’m sorry, we were minutes too late, some things at times should be left unspoken. Your daddy is dead, no better friend, and your mammy, that bitch, is living on pills. Dessy and Tim, my mates on the night, send kind regards: you won’t remember them. Benjamin
You always seem to deliver exceptional subject matter. By the tone of lines 7/8 it seems some rough justice was meted out. The overall theme however, reminded me a little of that old Peter Sarsted song "Where do you go to my lovely" (when you're alone in your bed). Pushed me right back in my chair. Justice is brutal, always. So is love. This is one that makes me want to have a drink--a big one. Life is often a too-high hurdle.
