You can always be more

Almost want to leave out the conversation, just go with the implication, but that's me. You do succinct well.

Hello Dr Con

Beautiful! precise, compact, a joy to read.

I love the metaphor;

You can always be more

she replied folding

the pastry of our

conversation

Best wishes

Rea

An effective blend of metaphor and innuendo culminating in a brief but tasty thought. :icon_sunny: Benjamin

Thanks All! I have been caught up in my own infinite drama- and have not been writing or critiquing as much as I should/would... So apologies for my absence hope to catch up with y'all soon-

Many Thanks for the continued support!

Dr.Con, this was so nice short poem of yours. It surprised me. I am used on something else from you, but this one is not less beautiful than others. It's very well constructed, and it's nice to see how you handled it a big difference in your usual style.

David W. Parsley

Hi Doc, I tried to stay away, partly because I wanted this one to settle in, partly reluctant to overwrite No. 2 on No. 7 appreciation. But I have to say that this poem excites the kind of wonder and recurrent speculation that keeps me reading poetry. My only real difficulty is in localizing the he, she, and I of the piece, but that may just be part of how the poem means. Thanks for the experience.
