Broken

Excellent shape poem joel! Shaped like a hurricane or tornado. Your poem starts off swirling and chaotic. Broken just like the subject of your poem. But as you read down the poem it becomes more concentrated and falls to silence. Well done!

Wonderful done Joel. I loved this. Your sense of exercising with the words and visual effects works so well.

The expressions are so lovely and strong and the end hits.

Very good write my friend

Very clever, Joel. As Fader pointed out, it looks like a tornado. The layout is avant-garde but not overwhelming; the way you type out fall at the end of the poem is quite effective.

Thank you, guys - fader, aleksandra, and tony. It just happened that the theme of the poem allows it to be fashioned this way. So, I thought, why not :-)

Hi JoelJosol,

As your other readers have observed, the shape is eye-catching and enhances the motif of the poem. I saw a large question mark, underlining the pervading sense of helplessness when love and life take their toll on an individual.

Very impressed with your experimenting!

Thank you, GL. I'm glad that readers see different "things" in the poem's shape. Others told me it's a tear drop in reverse :-)
