I couldn't believe it after Ashley told me

but it turned out to be true

Laura shaved her head

all her long blonde hair gone

now just 21 year old stubble

rubbed the top of her head and said,

" starting from scratch again ? "

she smiled and asked if I had any extra smokes

I gave her 4

she was breathing hard and flustered

because her on again off again boyfriend

was throwing a teenage temper tantrum

swearing and being idiotic

at everyone and anyone in his vicinity

a week later he shaved his head

and he had black long hair

now stubble

How evasive poem this time Jonathan. But the first imagery what I got is sad and very often seen. Like some two abandoned persons, diving in some bad river from where is no coming back. And then catastrophic and tragics end for both of them. I am sorry if I interpreted this poem wrong, it could be with different meaning, just I got it like this.

I like it how is written it has some strong point of view

Thank you for sharing.

Hi pawnshop,

A great narrative here. The "on again off again" relationship between Ashley and her boyfriend and the drastic action they both take, suggest emotional upheaval and battles. This stormy relationship comes alive in your low keyed narrative voice.

I enjoyed this.
