At the Farm - by John ( MisterPoet )

There's a lake beyond the fence,

it's not that large

and it's not that round

but it's a lake, none the less,

with water - green - and - brown.

A few trees surround

the peanut shaped bike

and cows lay in the shade...

...ah yes, it's on a farm

...with barns and hills

...and a rail road track -

I can see the train

rolling by now...

.............. . .

......It was quite long.

But here I sit

once again

looking out my window

as the train is gone

and all is quite

and the sun is behind a cloud.

SO GOOD TO HEAR ANYTHING FROM OUR OLD ASSOCIATE JOHN - I think this is a typo, isn't it Aleks?

Of the poem it is simple but earthy tell MP he's missed here and there by me.

Hello my friends. Thank you Tink, Victor, Summayya, Frank for commenting on John's poem. He would be happy when he gonna see all of yours comments. I have some more what are not posted yet, but one by one, I will post them soon.

And yes Frank it could be typo and it is in this case, now I will edit that part. Sometimes I can't recognize well what is written , bc of the handwriting, so I am sorry to you all and to John too, that I can make some mistakes while writing the poems.

I am printing to him all of these comments and your words, so he will know, and he miss you all of you too. And the fact that we never forgot him will make him happy.

Thanks for commenting again by John name.

I like the imagery of country life and the seemingly slow pace of life there. Nice poem, John. I just wondered why you shifted tense in describing the train.

I grew up in a town that had a "farm" just like this, Mr. P -- railroad track, cows, and many windows. Enjoyed the effect here:
