I sat for hours
Trying to write them a poem
But no words would come.
No inspiration.
No flow.
Just fatigue and
Just the pounding of
Sorrow sabotaging my heart.
(And my heart bleeds for their hearts;
My soul cries for their crying.)

Stolen lives;
Cut down by hatred and darkness.
A cruel, thorny, arrogant insanity
Raveging humanity.
A canabalistic rage;
Souls destroying souls.

It could all be so different:
We could all choose love;
We could celebrate the beauty of life;
We could appreciate the gift
Within which we move and dance together.

I hope they dance forever.
I hope they are at peace.
I hope this curse lifts.
(And my heart bleeds for their hearts;
My soul cries for their crying.)

To receive love, you have to give it...

Made all the more poignant with

We could

We could

We could

I hope

I hope

I hope

and the refrain

(And my heart bleeds for their hearts;
My soul cries for their crying.)

Fitting tribute.
