A dead poem

His poem

lifted my eyes

up the ceiling

of his ambition,

from where his lines hang

down to expose a body,

twisted,

breathless.

Hello JoelJosol,

How well you suggest and not tell allowing the reader a layered interpretation.

The contrast between ceiling of his ambition and the body exposed is startling ad works well to convey a brutal sense of reckoning.

The end hits:

from where his lines hang

down to expose a body,

twisted,

breathless

Excellent job.
