To Our Man In Bhutan

In the ancient kingdom of Bhutan

I sense a very contemplative man

And incense smoke aroma in the air

In mind's eye I am practically there

Tradition like the circle of a ring

Goes on upon arrival of their King

Time's cape lays on all our shoulders

Weighs heavily like so many boulders

I know Golden Langur that you're there

And breathing in the sacred Eastern air

A worthy tribute!

Hello Frank,

Thank you for a wonderful commemorative poem of our King's Coronation! You've described vividly the ceremonies and rites of the crowning of the King - 'incense smoke, Time's cape (evoking the yellow ceremonial drapes of both the past and present kings)and the 'circles' of traditional dancers.

It is indeed a 'sacred', historic occasion and we're still celebrating!

You have admirable talent for capturing moments - historical and political in your work!

Wonderfully inspirational!
