Stealth games

Playing hide and seek with Mary,

counting the dark away,

breathing softly, scenting rumours.

Finally

I find her kneeling, cleaning

the rim, my toothbrush

humming like a wasp.

Hi Badge,

The poem exhibits a curious blend of allurement and anility. But I'm not sure I want to know what Mary's cleaning  ...

Here is our Mary again, :) Badge. Most of your poems are like stealth games. I love what's between the lines. In this poem the first stanza captured me. Then came the puzzle... I love it.

Aleks you are so clever to have the insight into the 'subtext' of another language.

Always pleased to hear from you
