dr_con
Come Home Becky claimed she was a local poet one weekday on Moscow Road between Monte Rio and Duncan Mills Her Red top-hat provided confirmation her comments on mine carried the facts we parted on the poison oak and grape covered bridge above the current signaling ever present change pointing out we are loco Poetry is code rebellion sometimes calm always inflamed responses to truth hidden in silence implied conversations with alienation or like interpretations of cats or freedom simply new floor-plans for this cell we call home. Lake
Hi Dr. Con, I hear you "Come Home". I find something resemblant in your recent poems - a mix of concrete and abstract ideas. Like this one, the first stanza reads very nicely, concrete images and a feel of friendliness, kindness and warmth; the next two stanzas the writer puts in a lot of thoughts. Enjoyed much. dr_con
Thanks Lake! They are part of a series- that will take different forms- I hope you keep enjoying them! Many Thanks! DC&J Quote thegateless.org
tonyv
Hmmm ... You liken it to a cell, but perhaps our chains are imaginary? I sure hope so. I liked your unexpected juxtaposition of cats and freedom. And I enjoyed the local references, as always. dr_con
Just like interpretations of cats the chains are self created and therefor imaginary as is freedom;-) The next in the series "Above the Current" is below... Thanks Tony! DC&J Quote thegateless.org
Aleksandra
Nice series, Juris. I like the title along with the poem. It's a little bit different from you, and I like the idea for writing in a series. Well done. Aleksandra Quote The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth - Jean Cocteau History of Macedonia
