JoelJosol Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 We, Again Every year, the week going to this day, before the vernal equinox, we begin a transformation, to be broken up into you and I. Our orientations change, shifting our North poles to repel each other, shaking the certainty of our resolve. We become fierce animals marking our space, howling at our loudest, exposing our fangs, the spoils before us. Tomorrow, our lacerated self-respect will awaken us, vowing again to rebuild ourselves, to become we. Quote "Words are not things, and yet they are not non-things either." - Ann Lauterbach
goldenlangur Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Hi JoelJosol, A fascinating look at how change is perceived. I like the way you relate this to the natural phenomenon of the "vernal equinox, the cardinal directions, the north being the firmament, grounding it all. This is quite thought provoking: JoelJosol wrote: Tomorrow, our lacerated self-respect will awaken us, vowing again to rebuild ourselves, to become we. goldenlangur Quote goldenlangur Even a single enemy is too many and a thousand friends too few - Bhutanese saying.
