Larsen M. Callirhoe Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 http://www.facebook.com/editnote.php?draft...id=425385477156Poem Dedication, I'm Running For You Bella Noby Victor Michael Lashewitz on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 5:11pm - please have a minute of silence and respect for my friend before you read my poem.. she died august 26. i miss her. she suffered for a 14 mounth hospital stay. not once did she cry to her friends. i was mentioned as being one of her few facebook internet worthy friends. i love you bella. you always had class. I'm Running For You Bella No The Day when we first met the heaven's angels did rejoice. Bella No take my hand. I will show you this crazy world and so much more that we do share together. If only you would trust me and see pass this vail that hides the light from within. so you could behold my inner beauty. I'm running for you Bella No take my hand and toghter we will seewhere the Sunlight fades together. We lookout on the horizon up above beholding milky clouds and cloudy dreams drifting on by. we share together this adventure we call life - living co-existing in the world yes this crazy world. I'm running for you Bella No. take my hand and together we will run wildly to where the stars dwell and where freedom expresses itself. I'm running for you Bella No. We climb on mountain tops and look at the crisp waves of the sea rushing to shore crashing on the sand dunes down below. I'm running for you Bella No. I'm running for you Bella No. I said a prayer for you the day I heard of your passing. At the eulogy I wept for you. And at the wake I laid a red rose by your grave site. I'm running for you Bella No. In Reflection,I hold no malice from you. I will always remember the way you carried youself with class. I shared a dance with you. In the moonlight as the sun was rising I kissed you on the lips and said "my goodbyes". I'm running with you Bella No. And one day we will meet again at those pearly gates. So I write this muse for you Bella No, Im running, oh yes I'm running for you. Quote Larsen M. Callirhoe

tonyv Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Yes, Victor. This elegy's sad yet somehow uplifting at the same time. Hope and expectation of a reunion in the afterlife shine thorough. I liked the form, the repetition, and the refrain very much. Tony Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic

Aleksandra Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Wonderful tribute, Vic. It's always so hard when we lose someone who is meaningful to us. This poem, it's simply so beautiful and sad. Deeply touching end: I'm running with you Bella No. And one day we will meet again at those pearly gates. So I write this muse for you Bella No, Im running, oh yes I'm running for you. Thank you for sharing your grief with us, Victor. Aleksandra Quote The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth - Jean Cocteau History of Macedonia
