JTParreira
Odysseus who walked in circles in the sea and arrested the body and its ears to the mast of the ship not gave its ears to the sirens holding the helm under the waves and with a bag of winds in the swollen sails to enters into Ithaca where Penelope waits for one life. by J.T.Parreira
goldenlangur
Hi JT Parreira, These images are wonderfully vivid and inspired: "bag of winds, swollen sails" In your poem one is not sure if Odysseus arrives back in time to save Penelope from the marriage she's being forced into. I sense an ambiguity here which gives the poem a dark tone and allows for different interpretations. goldenlangur Quote goldenlangur Even a single enemy is too many and a thousand friends too few - Bhutanese saying. Aleksandra
What an wonderful piece Joao. This took us to the unforgotten Odyssey. This is written very well, the events are known and well known but the tone of your poem is wonderful and different. Well done and nice to see you around Aleksandra Quote The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth - Jean Cocteau History of Macedonia
