rumisong Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 learned about Nonets from Tinker- had to try one Im thinking that it has to be true just because you can use big words you think that you have something something you can hold to something tangible and so you do you hold tight you feel safe Quote
Tinker Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hey Rumi, I am so pleased you gave this a try. The result is really quite good. Although you followed this form exactly, the piece reminds me of a WC Williams piece because of the way you direct the poem to a particuar person, like you are speaking directly to them. I like it. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
JoelJosol Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Hmm, maybe I should give it a try one day... Nice one. Quote "Words are not things, and yet they are not non-things either." - Ann Lauterbach

tonyv Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I like the causticity, Rumisong. I also appreciate the implied distinction between feeling safe and being safe, a fine point I often bring to the attention of those who would disarm. There's a world of difference between the two. Aleksandra Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Even I would like to give a try to this form :). It looks easy or no? Anyway, I am not so much concerned about the form as all of you know, and I can not tell much :), but the poem looks very nice, and the shape also. I like it, Rumi.
