goldenlangur Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Eyes Grains of memory blown here and there flicker into outline these eyes violently empty of color and light unseeing visible holes I can’t tell if they behold me or I behold them or if these eyes or I, are held within the prisms of dream or reality. Aleksandra Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Well, goldenlangur, this poem is so much to my taste. I love this poem of yours. It's very deep and it keeps the reader at the crossroad. It's great written. That facing of the dream and reality, of desire and sadness, of love and pain, makes me to feel as the narrator of this poem. I can feel the melancholy that is introduced to the reader in between the expressions of wisdom. I enjoyed this poem, a lot. I enjoyed this poem, a lot. It's been a while since I wrote a free verse piece and I am delighted that this works for you. Thank you for the encouragement and support. tonyv Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Captivating. Starts off like a whirlwind, then dissipates like a mirage, Golden. I like how you describe the sockets. Enjoyed the eyes/I's and the tell/behold/held. Flicker into outline is inspired. There are certain words that are somehow unique to each of us in our works. Prism is one of yours ...
