Seasons Greetings

Hello.

As a new member and bearing in mind the time of year, I would like to introduce my self with this acrostic. I look forward to reading, commenting and contributing on PMO. Benjamin

Surrounded by good will and festive cheer,

Elated, having family so near

And welcome friends exchanging gifts and cards.

Small children, singing carols for rewards

Of fruited cake, mince pies and silver change.

Nostalgic grown-ups dressing Christmas trees,

Silent Night adrift on wintry breeze.

Going to church the first time in a year,

Remembering those who are no longer here.

Excited children snug in bed, will lay

Expectantly, to hear old Santa's sleigh.

Toast your blessings with a glass of wine

In thanks, to this extraordinary time.

Noel! Ring out the bells across the world!

Glad tidings of humanity convey,

Salute!--- may God be with you-- every day.

Welcome, Benjamin. I'm excited that you're here.

Thank you for this festive acrostic. It's a delightful read from the celebratory mood to your expert handling of meter.

Hi Benjamin,

Nice to meet you. :D

How well you capture the range of thoughts and scenario, both celebratory and reflective:

Going to church the first time in a year,

Remembering those who are no longer here.

Excited children snug in bed, will lay

Expectantly, to hear old Santa's sleigh.

Toast your blessings with a glass of wine

Thank you for a seasonal read.
