Larsen M. Callirhoe
my first sweet heart ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- Take my hand lets skylark tonight Take my hand and lets have some bacchanalia. We have the stars to gaze at and the celestial bodies look down at us. My date and I walk along the board walk. The people pass us by like a blur on a photograph. We kiss and embrace under the stars of the heavens that twinkle down on us. This cruise on a ship gives us time to reminisce our wonderful experiences together. We held hands at the mall and kissed by chorus class. Oh Missy I thought you were grand until you dumped me for another man. I still can dream can't I. I will always remember you because you were my first sweet heart. Quote Larsen M. Callirhoe
tonyv
Hi Victor, I like how you say lets skylark, and how the celestial bodies look down at us. I also enjoyed the reference to chorus class. Aleksandra
wow Victor my friend. I missed your lovely poems, emotional. This sounds so sensitive and very musical. Nostalgia inside hits, the same as love. I loved the last part of this poem so much: I still can dream can't I. I will always remember you because you were my first sweet heart. The first love always is like that. Stays just memories - ok most of the cases . But I am happy if the memories are good and not hurts. Wonderful expressed poem. goldenlangur
Hi Victor, It's great to hear your voice again! In this poem you have a combination of celebration of your "first" love, anguish of loss and the ache of longing for a reunion. I'm impressed that you've returned after your long illness with this moving work. This is beautiful!: Larsen M.
