Frank E Gibbard
Hello to all the folk out there in the ether everywhere (yet connected by this internet). How close but remote can we get? I talk to you who I do not know more deeply than some male friends though, to whom I no real things impart still less one thing that touches heart. Daresay it is a manly thing to conversation nothing bring unless it be a view on sport or how a gadget may be bought. That's men for you we're the sort with no emotion, it wasn't taught. rosschandler
very nice. i appreciate meter. i would consider this accentual verse purely given that some lines have a syllable or two more injected. i like the use of ellision and syntax inversion you included. i am not a fan of emjambments because that something i see in unrhymed verse. i rhyme so to me each line is complete by itself. however, it is crafty to utilize it. i read this trochaically and of course in tetrameter. i find it odd i scan things trochaically when the writer often says its to be read iambically as is common among most of us english speakers. however i like reading "HEL lo" and not "he LO" trochees seem more forceful and i liked reading this. i absolutely appreciate your skill. tonyv
Hey, comeon, Frank ... You know all of us, your net friends, quite intimately! I mean, how long have we been reading each others' various pathologies? Quite a while! But I do see the point, well expressed in the second half of the poem. I myself do my best to avoid any water-cooler "sports talk," lol. Gatekeeper
Can poetry survive on such sorts of sports and all manner of gigity gagets? Guys agree on the ante-up fees the subtle joys of the counts of their toys.
