Life is Free

A single tree can hold me spellbound

for a long time. Who's counting? A riffle

in the river below a stone below the top

of the flow entrances me, I wondering

what is underneath? What would birds

do without trees or fish without riffles?

What would I do without them?

We look for joy in expensive toys,

while all around us are wondrous

creations that cost nothing more than

our concentration. How do rambling

roses last centuries on hillsides below

the ruins of a cabin where a young

bride had a notion?

With time to look, we can see and even

gain knowledge of things unknown

before we decided to start seeing, not

just accepting the world as it seems.

How many others have stopped to admire

the sheen on the river as it follows the

turn below my feet? I hope there were many.

good message, good form -- nicely done <^-^>

Pinhead

"Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends.

There is a secret song at the center of the world, Joey, and its sound is like razors through flesh."

Joey

"I don't believe you."

Pinhead

"Oh come, you can hear its faint echo right now. I'm here to turn up the volume.

To press the stinking face of humanity into the dark blood of its own secret heart."

"There's a starving beast inside my chest
playing with me until he's bored
Then, slowly burying his tusks in my flesh
crawling his way out he rips open old wounds

When I reach for the knife placed on the bedside table
its blade reflects my determined face
to plant it in my chest
and carve a hole so deep it snaps my veins

Hollow me out, I want to feel empty"

"Sky turns to a deeper grey

the sun fades by the moon

hell's come from the distant hills

tortures dreams of the doomed

and they pray, yet they prey

and they pray, still they prey"

Puts things into perspective, Franklin.

... What would birds

do without trees or fish without riffles?

What would I do without them?

What would I do without them??? I love it!
