JoelJosol Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Silence--- surrounds me, irritating your inability to fill in between the sound from lips that wish to open up, to send v i br a t ion s, and jar the shield of yellow light where I am, a coffee-table book, closed. goldenlangur Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Hi JoelJosol, The way you've formatted this poem is quite eye-catching. One gets a sense of cold shouldering and refusal to talk - a silence more deafening than a screaming, shouting battle of words. It is well written, goldenlangur Quote goldenlangur Even a single enemy is too many and a thousand friends too few - Bhutanese saying.

Aleksandra Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Interesting Joel. Well captured poem. The end shows the deepness of this poem Interesting for eyes too. Well done. Aleksandra Quote The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth - Jean Cocteau History of Macedonia
tonyv Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I agree with the others, Joel. This poem has an attractive and effective layout. I enjoyed this part a lot: the sound from lips that wish to open up, to send v i br a t ion s ... and the coffee table book metaphor is fresh.
