eclipse
On a Glasgow wall I sprayed an Abyssinian maid and a dulcimer she played. The next night reading Robbie Burns and Samuel Coleridge I heard an exotic melody, I sprayed the figure of Robbie Burns onto the wall holding a rose beneath a red moon. He stepped of the wall and asked me to spray his wife, she failed to come to life until Robbie sprayed the words of my love is like a red red rose. I etched the effigy of Samuel Coleridge onto the wall he stepped down- demanded and directed me to create a rose of intricate colour and texture-Coleridge demanded I draw an albatross and that this bird would be protected. tonyv
It appears some of these graffiti artists are not just talented, they're erudite. Enjoyed it, Eclipse. The ending especially made me smile. dr_con
eclipse- Although- I enjoy your poetry, I am often left wondering what to say... Not sure if you embody a certain imagist dream rationality or you skate on the cutting edge of rationality- The images are there- The structure is tight- but I leave feeling a ramble coming on- Hmmm... Enjoyed! DC&J Quote thegateless.org Come on over and check out my poetry substack y'all;-) Or if your bored, head to the Zazzle store: https://www.zazzle.com/store/gateless.
