Frank E Gibbard Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 (edited) About the letter F better being deft, Some "f" words muted and just left Unuttered, in polite discourses it's Politic to know which side your roll Is buttered, of course, if one's goal Is to give the prosaic a poetic sheen. No cause to be needlessly unclean, Pure words purvey perfect meaning Without phrases lewd or demeaning. Isn't an expletive base in its essence Effing inferior to poets' effervescence? Benjamin Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I'd wondered how you were going to tackle this one Frank. :icon_sunny: Pleased to agree that a use of clear, incisive, and intelligent language, carries much more weight than the accepted moronic filth we are subjected to every where we turn these days. Nicely done. Geoff Quote
Frank E Gibbard Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 Thanks Geoff for that. Knew I was preaching to the converted in our pool of would-be wordsmiths. Quote
David W. Parsley Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Frank, count me among the converted. Tastefully done (close call at the end!) with a nice dose of word fun. - Dave Quote
