eclipse Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 A fragmented moon is reflected on the ocean- the lunar pearl has listened to pagans and wars natives seek power that doesn't exist in it's ancient stores. I hold a sea shell up to the night winds and whisper a question into the shell- I walk across the ocean of myself with the moon reflected perfectly.. Quote
David W. Parsley Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I like this one, too, Eclipse. Follows a serene trail out from the recent cauldrons seething in your work. Fine imagery and spare language, letting the power come through and capture the reader. Refrains. The reflection persists... - Dave Quote
tonyv Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I like this, too, Eclipse. "Natives seek power that doesn't exist" is striking and memorable. Tony Quote Here is a link to an index of my works on this site: tonyv's Member Archive topic
David W. Parsley Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 I keep returning to this piece. So quietly cosmic and pregnant with meaning. Not near enough reads. Yes, I am moving it to the top of the reading list. Somebody slap me if that is bad! - Dave Quote
dr_con Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Agree with the above sentiments- warm, mysterious (don't know where warm comes from... a certain feel;-) and cosmic in its creativity;-) DC&J Quote thegateless.org
