JoelJosol
Waking up is greater than walking up, if and only if the length of arms else reach out to get ration. What if they were reduced to fractions- arms, legs, eyes, heads- can blood drops re-assemble the whole from a pool? Fool! It is the number that counts. To kill or keel over is just semantics. Watch closely the substitutions. Sorry, the final answer has been rigged. The equation was just to distract from the matter of fact. * writing while Manila is being battered by a typhoon Quote "Words are not things, and yet they are not non-things either." - Ann Lauterbach
David W. Parsley
Hi Joel, Your piece makes the synapses flash for me but I would not have intuited anything like the typhoon if not for your note. When rationing my semantic, I elected to avoid keeling over... - Dave
tonyv
Joel, I agree with Dave in that I didn't see any connection to a typhoon, but I took your note as simply anecdotal information on the when/how of compositon. That is something that I always find interesting and am grateful for when poets provide it. I love the second verse, especially kill/keel. And the last verse hits me hard on a personal level as I look inward at my own dilemmas and critically, albeit reluctantly, at conundrums that are my own doing.
