Larsen M. Callirhoe
Ok I b elieve it is a little choppy. Other than that I think what I came up with is fairly descent. Let me know. thak you. Sing Your Song To Me Looking down the road of life here I am to sing my tale to you. I want to hold your hand so please come and play with me. We will dance in the wind all night. Sing your song to me. Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you. I was playing in the rain days when I was so young and filled with innocence of my age. What would become of my fate? Only the blowing wind would ever know Sing your song to me. Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you. I remember are days of youth wasn't it just the other day when I saw you playing on the swing. Now you are walking the line you graduated and we said are fair wells. Sing your song to me. Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you. Tears in my heart that remember so much and butterflies flying in the spring time. How the time has gone on by through the years. Childhood memories that keep me awake that haunt my mind echoing in my dreams. Sing your song to me. Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you. Every time I feel the wind touch my face I think about those days way back then. Now we are grown up and see the world so differently. Hey just the other day I had heard you had passed away. Sing your song to me. Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you. So I sang you this one last love song at your eulogy. I got down on my knees and I prayed to the one way up high. How my heart did ache that lonely day but it is just another day in the existence of us all. Sing your song to me. Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you To see your family weep is more than my soul could bare. I light a candle for you in the sanctuary I grew up in. It is now just a ghost town of empty hallways and memories. But back in the day it stirred with life. It is time to move on. That house of God felt my heavy tears fall on the ground that night. Sing your song to me Playing in the rain and laughter in the tears is the only thing I remember about you. I want to hold you in my arms and long for the days of old but now I am all grown up. So I guess it is time to say my fair wells and move on. Quote Larsen M. Callirhoe
goldenlangur
Hi victor, This dirge-like poem is moving. I particularly love the thought and imagery in this: Tears in my heart that remember so much and butterflies flying in the spring time. How the time has gone on by through the years. Childhood memories that keep me awake that haunt my mind echoing in my dreams. Thank you for an eloquent and beautiful verse.
