eclipse
verse: In the first meadow of snow i slept next to a dreamer who passed on a dream in the second meadow of ice i slept as a mime artist mimed a childs death chorus: in the third meadow of graves i laid as the music of a carousel played infants with burning palms and faces held up there burning crosses verse: in a fifth meadow of sun and moonlight it was half day and half night the artist mimed death and dumb he had one palm against the moon the other against the sun chorus: in the third meadow of graves i laid as the music of a carousel played infants with burning palms and faces held up there burning crosses bridge infants passed through me offering psalms saw each death in the flames of my burning palms the artist held up a mirror i saw infants make a boat out of the fire of the sun i watched them sail away to future births verse: chained between the sun and moon i wept the bloody dreams of strangers frozen with snows of hell i heard phantom voices tell a story about a stolen manger

Aleksandra
Yea, eclipse, very goth :). I loved it. The mystery made me read this poem, more than once. Great job. Benjamin
Don't know why, perhaps it's the seasonal feel of the poem , but it reminds me of a Kate Rusby song called "Wandering Soul". It has a memorable chorus: "We'll sing to the morning/ We'll sing till the bells they sound/ We'll sing till the wandering soul returns."
