High Aria

One of my earliest. Don't think it's been posted here:

High Aria

Cedars

form mountain wreathes,

their lilts to the valley,

sotto voce

Clef bass

of matte-black sky

gives wing to floating notes

strung on moonlight

Cascades

down mantled slopes

blend wind-spun high tenors,

echo encore

Don't recall reading this well orchestrated alfresco idea before, I'm a sucker for musical metaphor (though we tend to say "Bass clef" over here). Enjoyed. Geoff.
