eclipse
The cold earth released Lennon Jesus removed his bullets and compared their wounds, measured cadences of earthly and heavenly sounds. John busked on heaven's streets, Jesus wandered earthly grounds. God filled John's busking hat with coins and his wounds bled music, Jesus' divinity receded and he was led to a desert where he sang Beatles songs, he held the desert in his hand. Every earthly note slipped through his fingers with the grains of sand and every note poured through Lennon's wounds. God was allured by these Earthly notes, he and Lennon co-wrote and floated their songs across the universe.
David W. Parsley
Hi eclipse, This is one of your best-honed poems, again ripe with imaginative insights. I am a little less sure than ususal of the poem's thrust. Is this the universe where the Beatles really are bigger than JC? - Dave
fdelano
I read it as the spirit that John and Jesus shared--I hope.
Frank E Gibbard
An unusual conjunction of JC and JL but fine imagination applied we can rely on from you eclipse. Kudos for the leaping of that imagination. Frank
