Twin Ambition

There, in that safe womb-like nest;

My brother and I lying bare of chest

Suckling twinned to mother's breast,

One teat each to suck of her sweet

Milk, reach in natural instinctive need

The vital sap she vouchsaves to feed.

Her fur makes my mouth itch and twitch,

I'm either Romulus or Remus I know not

Which, but Rome will hail our lupine bitch.

Ah, versed in the classics (pun intended). :smile: I myself had to look up the allusions. (Check out the statuette, too.) A fit capture of the concept in a poem, Frank!
