One night I saw you angel of hope

on the dance floor all by yourself.

 

You gave me a chance which is more then

all I could of ever perceived from you.

 

You turned my heart upside down and

inside out as sparks flew in the hall.

 

Twirling around my heart skips a beat or two

as I hear your wings fluttering all around me.

 

If I wear pride on my sleeve the best

you can do is fall in love with romance.

 

Don't you see this act of love sacrifice

I give you from the bottom of my heart.

 

Sunshine on the water it seems so clear

next time around I will give a wedding ring.

of our hearts for we caused smoke to rise

on the dance hall ballroom touching our lives.

 

The moves we shared together that day

were the best of times for both of us.

 

Everytime my heart skips a beat or two

I hear your wings flutter all around.

 

A million words lived in one minute

in time. The essence captured in a

single photograph taken that night.

 

You are the someone special

who turns my life upside down

and inside out I promise next time

I will bring you that wedding ring.

 

It sounds so crazy for sure

the best you can do is fall in love.

Once in your life all you want to do

is hold me tight and never let go.

 

If you wear your pride on my sleeve
