A man spoke to me I looked at him warily, he was scruffy. “Elizabeth Taylor,” he said, lovely woman. “Oh yes," I replied, "and what a a life in this, Showing him on the cover of the biography An iconic image of La Taylor. “I met her, At the Ritz, she came in to the kitchen there.” Oh yeah, I thought, and did she tip you too Mate, washers-up? “Of course I was a chef He said, back then before I was an alchy. Had a good life then not like you see now.” I must have chatted with this guy for ages. His articulateness convinced me of his tales Of drinking with stars such as Rex Harrison. The man had better stories to tell than many. And as I left with my book it reminded me You cannot judge every book by its cover. Quote
