eclipse
The tattooed clock on my back is ticking, the glass baby inside me is kicking, the wind helps me give birth to this exotic child of a different earth.
Tinker
Hi eclipse, This short piece has some very interesting images, ticking tattooed clock / kicking glass baby.... The tattooed clock was easy to conjure in my mind with so many meanings. The kicking glass baby a little more difficult, the action clear but the apparition and meaning more obscure. I liked the frame pairing a feminine rhymed decasyllabic couplet with an rhymed uneven couplet which gave irregular order to the piece very appropriate for the theme. The familiar observed with a different perspective. ~~Tink Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com

tonyv
Could this be a metaphor for a poem, Eclipse? The poet is reminded to write by the ticking clock, and he's compelled to do so by the exotic child that inevitably must emerge ...
