On a dark, rainy corner

I saw her go by.

I once told her I loved her,

she once showed me why.

TIL SOVER!!! How happy I am to see you here back to us. Welcome again. Your back is so powerful and poetical as always was your presence.

This short poem - I loved. Too many things are said in wonderful ways.

Thank you for sharing this Til. And it's wonderful to see you again here with us and to read you.

The feelings are expressed very well. I like how the poem leaves open the question of whether the narrator saw the object of his affection prior to their sole intimate encounter or after.

I'm leaning toward after. Nice to see you, as always, Tilsover.

It's the lack of details of the implied state of things that made the poem interesting just as Tony noted.

Hi tilsover,

Good to meet you and read your work. Your poignant poem seems to turn on the detail "once", giving a sense of longing which cannot be fulfilled.

So much pain and yearning conveyed here.
