douglas Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Early evening Comfortable, softly golden sun Coming down gently upon my salty skin I'm in a bubble of oceanic stillness With a beautiful sailor washed up On to the sand beside me His nose is delicate His face streamlined Framed by swirls of dark hair And held by the light And the sea is now calm After delivering her handsome gift to me All green, grey, blue and silver at the same time I'd like to lean over Bend my neck And kiss him softly on his lips As he sleeps Instead I swim out far into the stillness to reflect Occasionally looking back To make sure that my unopened treasure chest is still there.
